Consideration of Chamber of Commerce Request for Fall Decorating Contest Motion by Reindel, seconded by Warn, to approve the request from the Richmond Area Chamber of Commerce for a fall decorating contest with the placement of scarecrows at light poles from Park Street to Gratiot Avenue from Friday, September 28, 2018 to November 5, 2018. Consideration of Special Event Request/RAHGS Living History Cemetery Walk Motion by Greene, seconded by Warn, to approve the request from RAHGS to conduct a Cemetery Walk in the City of Richmond Cemetery on Saturday October 13, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the use of the Chapel for registration; and direct the City Clerk to apply to MDOT for the placement of an across the road banner from October 3, 2018 to Monday, October 15, 2018. Consideration of Salt Bin Construction Motion by LaFore, seconded by Misteravich, to award the 2018 DPW Salt Bin, concrete Bid Package to Wing Construction in the amount of $73,500.00 with expenses charged to the appropriate line items in Major Street and Local Street Funds. All yeas Motion passes Motion by Reindel, seconded by Warn, to award the 2018 DPW Salt Bin, Roof Bid Package to Boom’s Construction in the amount of $49,300.00 with expenses charged to the appropriate line items in Major Street and Local Street Funds. All yeas Motion passes 4. Consideration of Dow Street Ditching Motion by Greene, seconded by Warn, to authorize the expense of $18,500.00 to clear the rear-yard drainage ditch East of Howard Street by Capozzo & Sons Excavating with expenses charged to the appropriate line item in the local street fund. All yeas Motion passes 5. Consideration of Dump Truck Purchase Motion by Reindel, seconded by Greene, to authorize $149,101.00 for the purchase of a D&K Freightliner chassis up-fit by Shultz Equipment with the expense charged to the appropriate line item: Equipment Acquisition; DPW Equipment Fund. Consideration of Additional Holiday Closings Motion by LaFore, seconded by Misteravich, to approve the closing of city offices on Friday, July 5th; Monday, December 23rd and Monday, December 30th, 2018 with the understanding that employees must utilize accumulated leave time to be paid for these days since they are not recognized by the City of Richmond as holidays. All yeas Motion passes MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - All patch work in roadways will be paved by tomorrow.
