All yeas Motion passes PUBLIC HEARING None ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION 1. Consideration of Special Event Request/St. Augustine Parish/”Corpus Christi Walk with Jesus” Event Motion by Reindel, seconded by Allen, to approve the request received from St. Augustine Church to conduct their “Corpus Christi Walk with Jesus” event down Main Street, beginning at approximately 7:30 a.m., on Sunday, June 23rd, 2019, at St. Augustine’s Church and traveling north along Main Street to Holy Parish Church in Memphis. All yeas Motion passes 2. Consideration of Special Event Request/Across the Road Banner/RAHGS Heritage Festival Motion by Greene, seconded by Allen, to approve the request from RAHGS to have an across the road banner in conjunction with their Heritage Festival to be displayed Friday, June 15th through Sunday, June 30, 2019. Consideration of Memorial Bench/Georgia Stachura Motion by Allen, seconded by Greene, to approve the purchase of a Memorial Bench from Perennial Park Products in the amount of $436.00 to recognize George F. Captain. All yeas Motion passes 4. Consideration of Fire Contracts City Manager Moore informed Council that he, along with Chief Spens and Former Chief Garant met with the three Township Supervisors to negotiate the contract extensions. The proposed contract uses similar format and language, however, there are three changes being proposed: 1. The contract would be for five years instead of three; 2. During the proposed five year contract the contribution from each municipality would increase from $12,500 to $15,000 and 3. A copy of all corresponding Fire Department Runs would be provided to each township monthly. Motion by LaFore, seconded by Misteravich, to approve the 2019-2024 Fire Contract with Casco, Columbus and Richmond Township and authorize the Mayor to sign. All yeas Motion passes 5. Consideration of Establishing a Quarterly Roundtable Meeting Date Motion by Reindel, seconded by Allen, to schedule the special quarterly roundtable meeting of the City Council for July 22, 2019, at City Hall beginning at 6:00 pm. All yeas Motion passes 6. Consideration of Establishing Joint Meeting with the Recreation Board Motion by Allen, seconded by Reindel, to establish a joint meeting of the City Council and Recreation Board immediately following the regularly scheduled Council Meeting on July 1, 2019, to review Section VI, VII and VIII of the Recreation Master Plan. All yeas Motion passes MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS FROM THE CITY MANAGER - Library Director and City Manager met with a Library Consultant to discuss the Library’s space needs - The Streetscape sign package has gone out for bid and will be awarded by TIFA at the June mtg. CCM: 06/03/2019 Page 3 of 5  APPROVED 06/17/2019 - City Manager will be speaking at the Lion’s Club meeting - Conducted tours of City Hall and the Police Department today for 3rd graders. - The DTE subcontractor has begun work on the north-end lights COUNCIL COMMENTS - Thanked the VFW for organizing the Memorial Day Parade. CLOSED SESSION 1. POAM and Teamsters Negotiations Motion by LaFore, seconded by Misteravich, to convene into closed session in accordance with Section 8(c) of the Michigan Open Meeting Act, Public Act 267 of 1976, as amended, for strategy and negotiation sessions connected with the negotiations of a collective bargaining agreement, as requested by administration. A roll call vote was taken: All yeas (Greene, LaFore, Misteravich, Reindel, Rix, Warn, Allen) Motion passes Council recessed at 7:18 p.m. to go into closed session.
