THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE RICHMOND CITY COUNCIL WAS CALLED TO
ORDER AT 7:05 P.M. ON MONDAY, JULY 18, 2022 BY MAYOR RIX.

Motion by Warn, seconded by Greene, to approve the minutes of the July 6, 2022 regular
meeting as presented.

Motion by Greene, seconded by Allen, to adopt the Consent Agenda as presented.

PUBLIC HEARING

ITEMS FOR CONSIDERATION
Motion by Greene, seconded by Allen, to adopt Resolution Nos. 2022-7, 8, 9 and 10, which
approve the requests submitted by the Richmond Good Old Days Festival Committee to conduct
the Grand Parade, Children’s Parade, and Outhouse Race and approves the hanging of banners
and the street and parking lot closures.

1. Consideration of forming City Manager Evaluation Committee
Motion by Reindel, seconded by Warn, to establish the ad hoc City Manager Review
Committee for the purposes of coordinating the annual performance evaluation of the City
Manager and reviewing the City Manager’s employment agreement and making
recommendations to the City Council on changes in the compensation package provided to the
City Manager, with the committee to expire on December 31, 2022 with the following councilors
appointed to serve on the committee: Mayor Tim Rix, Mayor Pro-Tem Mike Misteravich,
Councilor Jaime Greene.

MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS FROM THE CITY MANAGER
City Manager Moore was pleased with the turn out for “Shred Day” as well as the attendance at
the Movies in the Park put on by the Recreation Department. Lastly, the new Utility Billing
Clerk, Agatha Kent, started her employment today and is excitedly learning and is pleased to be
a part of the City.
COUNCIL COMMENTS
Mayor Rix announced Upcoming Events:
Farmers Market (Every Thursday from 4pm-8pm) located at the Veterans Park
7/23 Community Garage Sale (set-up 7:30am), call 727-3064 for information.
7/23 Historical Society’s Fiber Festival – Highlighting yarn, fabric and weaving
7/28 Children’s Entertainment Series with the Detroit Science Center, call Parks and
Recreation for more information 727-3064.
Other News:
7/21 EDC Meeting at 7:00pm
7/26 Calendar Recycling Misprint – Recycling will be for the NORTH END
8/1 City Council Meeting at 7:00pm
8/2 Election Day, Precinct 1 – Voting location is in the Community Center at Beebe Park for
residents that live North of Division Rd. and Precinct 2 – Voting location is in the
Council Chambers at City Hall for residents that live South of Division Rd. Call 727-7571
