Consideration of Adoption of Resolution 2022-12 Recognizing St. Peter’s 150th Anniversary Moved by Greene, seconded by Allen, to adopt Resolution 2022-12, a resolution recognizing the 150th Anniversary of the St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran. All yeas Motion passes  APPROVED 9/06/22 2. Consideration of Request to Close M-19 to conduct the Annual Homecoming Parade/Richmond High School Motion by Allen, seconded by Greene, to approve the request from the Richmond High School to conduct the annual Homecoming Parade and direct the City Clerk to apply to MDOT for permission to close M-19 from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m., on Friday, September 23, 2022, to conduct the annual Homecoming Parade. All yeas Motion passes 3. Consideration of purchase of Road Salt for the 2022-23 Winter Season – Detroit Salt/Seasonal Backup Motion by Reindel, seconded by Greene, to authorize the expenditure of up to $38,000 from Detroit Salt for the purchase of road salt for the FY22/23 winter season with the expense charged to line item 101-442-784.000, Salt Purchases; DPW: General Fund. All yeas Motion passes 4. Consideration of purchase of WWTP replacement Geotube Containers Motion by Greene, seconded by Allen, to authorize the expenditure of up to $38,000 from Detroit Salt for the purchase of road salt for the FY22/23 winter season with the expense charged to line item 101-442-784.000, Salt Purchases; DPW: General Fund. A roll call vote was taken: Six yeas (Allen, Greene, LaFore, Misteravich, Reindel, Rix) One absent (Warn) Motion passes 5. Consideration of Special Event Request/Richmond High School Band Boosters / Banner request for Annual Pumpkin/Craft Extravaganza Motion by Reindel, seconded by Greene to approve the special event application from Richmond Band Boosters for an across the road banner from September 20st through October 1nd in conjunction with their annual Pumpkin Extravaganza on October 1st and 2nd Motion by Allen, seconded by Greene to approve the special event application from Richmond Band Boosters for temporary signage in conjunction with their annual Pumpkin, Craft and Vendor Sale, October 1st and 2nd. The signs placed at the City Limit Signs will be allowed beginning Friday, September 16th.  APPROVED 9/06/22 1. The applicant shall work with city staff on proper placement of the signs to minimize any sight visibility issues. All yeas Motion passes MISCELLANEOUS MATTERS FROM THE CITY MANAGER None COUNCIL COMMENTS Mayor Rix announced Upcoming Events: 8/17 Kids, Trucks and Tracks event at Beebe Park 11am. 8/18 Farm Market (Every Thursday 4pm-8pm). 8/20 Lego Movie at Beebe Park (Dusk). CLOSED SESSION None.
