O’Neill Call to Order: 5:34 pm by Chairperson S. Kiel Approval of Agenda: Motion by Robson to approve Agenda; all yes, motion passed Public Comments: None Approval of Minutes: Motion by Stump to approve October 2021 minutes; all yes, motion passed Financial Report: Revenue & Expenditure Report: on file Library Funds Received & Spent: on file Memorial/Gifts: November & December Newsletter Chairperson’s Report: None Librarian’s Report: On file Unfinished Business: Library Design: The board discussed the Library Design quotes, including the original from late 2019 and the two subsequent quotes provided by Library Design. These quotes reflect the areas that the board and director thought might provide for some savings. They also reflect the change in material cost since the original quote, which was generated before the pandemic. The group also discussed the feasibility of removing staff areas as a part of the renovation and concentrating on the public areas only for additional savings. Motion by Stump to recommend the third quote, with the inclusion of the Director’s Office changes, to City Council for consideration. All yes, motion passed. New Business: None Public Comments: None Board Comments: Stump updated the board on Friends of the Library business. The Friends of the Library held a very successful Cookie Sale; the amount of bakers was down by 20 people but the amount raised was close to the record set in 2019.
