Lois Wagner Memorial Library Board of Trustees Meeting (Approved) Monday, May 8th, 2023, 5:30 p.m. Present: Maksymiuk, O’Neill, Robson Librarian: Julianne Kammer Absent: Stump, Kiel Call to order: at 5:33 p.m. by Chairperson Robson Approval of agenda: Motion by O’Neill to approve May 2023 Agenda, with changes; all yes, motion carried. Public comments: none Approval of minutes: Motion by O’Neill to approve April 2023 Minutes; all yes, motion carried. Memorial/Gifts: On file. May 2023 Newsletter. Financial Report: Revenue & Expenditure Report: On file. Library Funds Received & Spent: On file. Chairperson report: none Librarian report: On file. Unfinished Business: Board members discussed the bequest made to the library and the improvements that would be of priority. New Business: The discussion on the Director’s current evaluation form has been tabled until the full board is able to discuss. In order to complete the paperwork needed to receive part of the bequest from Eugene Minchella, an authorized signor from the City needs to be designated. Motion made by Robson, seconded by O’Neill, to authorize Angel Hatfield, City of Richmond Treasurer/Finance Director, to sign for all financial matters related to the MetLife Annuity Contract Number 7700304710 and 7700071671 on behalf of the Lois Wagner Memorial Library, a department of the City of Richmond. All in favor. Member comments: O’Neill still plans on reaching out to RHS language teachers regarding Mango Languages. She hopes to have an update in September.
