MINUTES KEEP RICHWOOD BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION MEETING Tuesday, April 02, 2024 at 6:00 PM BE IT KNOWN THAT a City of Richwood Keep Richwood Beautiful Commission will meet Tuesday, April 2, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM at Richwood City Hall, located at 1800 Brazosport Blvd. N., Richwood, Texas 77531 with the following agenda: I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. II. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS PRESENT Tracy Bocanegra Kai York Denise York Also present: Leslie Klug, Executive Director; Kirsten Garcia, City Secretary. III. PUBLIC COMMENTS There was no public comment. IV. REPORT ON RECENT EVENTS A. Easter Egg Hunt, April 23, 2024 Easter went well - transitioned to a drive-thru event. Unknown how many people went - gave extra eggs to PD and churches. B. Servolution, March 3, 2024. Leslie reported. V. UPCOMING EVENTS A. Don't Mess with Texas Trash Off, April 6, 2024 Volunteers will meet at City Hall Discussion held on location of clean up Discussion held on volunteers Will clean up from 8-10AM B. Earth Day, April 22 Discussion held on planned activities Leslie will be educating classes on recycling at Polk Elementary. VI. YARD OF THE MONTH April - Chairman, Audubon Woods I & II Discussion held on previous winners. VII. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS A. Discuss and consider setting workday at the monument sign at the entrance of Audubon Woods I. Discussion was held on previous work that has been done and sprayed for weed killer. Discussion was held on mulching the entire island area and possible labor available. Discussion was held on how to handle the area. Discussion held on the budget for the workday - Motion to set a budget for $350 Motion made by Kai York, Seconded by Tracy Bocanegra. All in favor. Motion carried. Motion to amend the budget to $450 for the workday. Motion made by Tracy Bocanegra, Seconded by Denise York. Voting Yea: Tracy Bocanegra, Kai York, Denise Set date: April 20, 2024 @ 8AM B. Discuss and consider setting a date and time for the park bench dedication in honor of Garry and Janet Ellis. Leslie made contact with Mrs. Ellis. Saturday May 11 and then Saturday May 25 as backup Will plan to hold it at 2:00 p.m. Leslie will send out invites to all. C. Discuss and consider adopting the Keep Richwood Beautiful 5-year plan. Discussion held on 5-year plan. D. Review and discuss the Keep Richwood Beautiful member bylaws, board member responsibilities, and yard of the month standard operating procedures.
