MINUTES KEEP RICHWOOD BEAUTIFUL COMMISSION MEETING Tuesday, October 08, 2024 at 6:00 PM BE IT KNOWN THAT a City of Richwood Keep Richwood Beautiful Commission will meet Tuesday, October 8, 2024, beginning at 6:00 PM at Richwood City Hall, located at 1800 Brazosport Blvd. N., Richwood, Texas 77531 with the following agenda: I. CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. II. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS Present: Tracy Bocanegra Kai York Absent : Denise York III. PUBLIC COMMENTS There was no public comment. IV. REPORT ON RECENT EVENTS A. National Night Out, October 1 Discussion held on NNO. Board members passed out educational brochures to adults and children. Also attempted to recruit interested people. V. UPCOMING EVENTS A. Trunk or Treat, October 25 Need to order candy - Kai will go to Sam's for candy - Margaret will set up the table with educational items. B. Fall Sweep, November 2 Up and down OCD and clean up - Will meet at the garden - 9a-12p Margaret will pick up water and donuts. VI. YARD OF THE MONTH We need to pick up the Yard of the Month sign. No submissions as of yet. VII. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS A. Discuss and consider acceptance of tree donation from the Daughters of the American Revolution for Ellis Park.  DAR wants to know what kind of tree you want donated. The board discussed a magnolia tree. B. Discuss and consider approving the purchase of promotional items. Discussion held on types of items. Motion to budget $500.00 on promotional items. Motion by Tracy Bocanegra, Seconded by Kai York All in favor, motion carried. C. Discussion regarding the 2024 Windshield Survey. Discussion held on conducting windshield survey. Margaret will send out to the board. VIII. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT Margaret presented her report. IX. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST No report. X.
