BE IT KNOWN THAT, a Keep Richwood Beautiful Commission Regular Meeting of City of
Richwood was held October 6, 2020, beginning at 6:00 PM in the Richwood City Hall Richwood
City Hall, 1800 N. Brazosport Blvd., Richwood, Texas 77531
I. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 6:03 p.m.
II. ROLL CALL OF MEMBERS
Brittany Figaro: Present
Sonia Foger: Present
Janet Jackson-Ellis: Present
Audrey Johnson: Present
Tara Riley: Absent
Also, in attendance, Kimberly Mayer, Executive Director and Kirsten Garcia, City Secretary;
Melissa Strawn, City Council Liaison

There was no public comment.
IV. CONSENT AGENDA
A. Approval of Minutes
1. Regular meeting held September 1, 2020
Motion to approve the consent agenda. This motion, made by Janet Jackson-Ellis and
seconded by Sonia Foger, Passed.

V. REPORT ON RECENT EVENTS
A. Clean Up - September 26, 2020
Kimberly reported on the recent clean up held September 26, 2020.
VI. UPCOMING EVENTS
A. Trunk or Treat - October 24, 2020
Kimberly stated members should arrive at 4:00 p.m. at the community garden to get
set up for the event.

VII. DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS
A. Discussion and action on placing order for new member t-shirts and sweatshirts.
Discusion held on t-shirt coloring and designs.
Motion to approve a budget not to exceed $500 for committee t-shirts and
sweatshirts. This motion, made by Audrey Johnson and seconded by Janet
Jackson-Ellis, Passed.

B. Discussion and possible action on voting in a secretary position.
Motion to approve Sonia Foger as secretary of Keep Richwood Beautiful. This
motion, made by Tara Riley and seconded by Audrey Johnson, Passed.
Yea: 5, Nay: 0
C. Discussion and possible action regarding quote to clean up Ellis Park gazebo flower
bed area, community building flower bed area, and entrance to Audubon Woods island
flower bed.
Motion to approve quote for lawncare. This motion, made by Audrey Johnson
and seconded by Tara Riley, Passed.

D. Discussion and possible action regarding November Fall Sweep
November 7, 2020 for Fall Sweep 9-11am - Meet at the Garden
E. Dicussion and possible action regarding sign for Ellis Park
Kimberly presented information on signage for Ellis Park.
F. Discussion and possible action regarding Christmas in the Park
Brittany, Sonia, and Audrey volunteered for the sub-committee
Discussion held on ideas for a socially distanced event.
G. Discussion and action regarding Yard of the Month
Kimberly reported that this month is the spookiest yard - we will choose later in the
month.
H. Discussion and possible action regarding the Pride of Richwood campaign.
Kimberly requested this be tabled until January, to get more time to get organized.

I. Discussion and possible action regarding recycling around town.
Kimberly reported she will look into an inititive to start after next month.
J. Discussion and possible action regarding blue bonnets at the community garden.
Audrey presented information on planting bluebonnets at the Community Garden.
VIII. FINANCIAL REPORT
Kimberly went over the financial report.
IX. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Kimberly gave the executive directors report.
X. ACCOMPLISHMENTS AND ITEMS OF COMMUNITY INTEREST
Nothing reported other than clean up mentioned earlier.
XI. FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
KRB Meeting moved to November 4th at 6:00 p.m. due to elections
