MISSION STATEMENT
The City of Riverside Public Utilities Department is committed to the highest quality
water and electric services at the lowest possible rates to benefit the community
The City of Riverside wishes to make all of its public meetings accessible to the public.

That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve the estimated capital expenditure of $250,000 for Emergency Work
Order No. 1416699 in accordance with Article XII, Section 1202 (b) of the
Riverside City Charter; and
2. Authorize the award of bid to the lowest responsible bidder for permanent
pavement repairs.

6 UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION NEAR LA SIERRA AVENUE AND
ARIZONA AVENUE FOR NEW TRACT 32772, 49 SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE -
WORK ORDER NO. 1411171
That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of
$119,000 for Work Order No. 1411171 for the installation of seven pad mounted
transformers and one pad mounted junction cabinet, and related distribution
facilities for Tract 32772.

7 LETTER AGREEMENT BETWEEN RIVERSIDE PUBLIC UTILITIES AND
SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA EDISON COMPANY FOR WORK ASSOCIATED WITH
THE SUB TRANSMISSION PROJECT
That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve the Engineering, Design and Procurement Letter Agreement between
Riverside Public Utilities Department and Southern California Edison Company;
and
2. Approve the expenditure of $225,000 for Southern California Edison to perform
work at its Vista Substation related to the Sub Transmission Project.

Water Items
8 POTABLE WATER STORAGE RESERVOIR CLEANING AND INSPECTION
PROJECT – WORK ORDER NO. 1412792; AWARD OF BID NO. RPU-7200
That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve the capital expenditure of $107,000 for Work Order No. 1412792,
which includes all design, inspection, cleaning, change order contingencies, and
construction management for the Potable Water Storage Reservoir Cleaning and
Inspection Project, Bid No. RPU-7200;
2. Determine that the bid submitted by Applied Diving Services, Inc., of Tempe,
Arizona, in the amount of $60,740, is non-responsive; and
3. Award a contract for the Potable Water Reservoir Cleaning and Inspection
Project, Bid No. RPU-7200 to the lowest responsive bidder, Paso Robles Tank,
Inc., of Paso Robles, California in the amount of $73,700.

9 UTILITY AGREEMENT NO. 384 BETWEEN CITY OF RIVERSIDE PUBLIC
UTILITIES AND RIVERSIDE COUNTY TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION
That the Board of Public Utilities recommend that the City Council approve Utility
Agreement No. 384 between RPU and RCTC for utility relocation activities as part
of the RCTC’s Perris Valley Line Metrolink project.

DISCUSSION CALENDAR
10 CONSTRUCTION OF THE VAN BUREN BOULEVARD WATER DISTRIBUTION
MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT - AWARD OF BID NO. RPU-7223
That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve the capital expenditure of $2,622,000 for Work Order No. 1103067,
which includes all design, construction, contract administration, inspection and
construction contingency costs for the Van Buren Boulevard Water Distribution
Main Replacement Project – Bid No. RPU-7223;
2. Award a contract for the construction of the Van Buren Boulevard Water
Distribution Main Replacement Project – Bid No. RPU-7223 to the lowest
responsive bidder, Trautwein Construction Inc., of Riverside, California, in the
amount of $1,858,942; and
3. Authorize the issuance of change orders to the purchase order of up to 15% of
the original amount for Bid No. RPU-7223 with such changes to be reported to the
Board of Public Utilities at the conclusion of the project.
