Electric Items 5 UNDERGROUND ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION FOR THE RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT RENAISSANCE BLOCK - WORK ORDER NO. 1415322 That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure in the amount of $70,917 for Work Order No. 1415322 for the installation of electric distribution facilities to serve the Riverside Community College District Renaissance Block. Attachments: Report Map City of Riverside Page 2 Printed on 4/15/2014 Board of Public Utilities Agenda April 18, 2014 Water Items 6 CONSTRUCTION OF THE LAS FLORES AVENUE 8-INCH WATER MAIN REPLACEMENT PROJECT – WORK ORDER NO. 1322528 That the Board of Public Utilities approve the capital expenditure of $392,000 for Work Order No. 1322528, which includes all design, construction, paving, contract administration, inspection and construction contingency costs for the Las Flores Avenue 8-Inch Water Main Replacement Project. Attachments: Report Map Other Items 7 INCREASE ANNUAL KUBRA AMERICA WEST, INC. ELECTRONIC BILL PAYMENT AND PRESENTMENT PURCHASE ORDER NO.141466 That the Board of Public Utilities approve an increase to the annual purchase order with Kubra’s America West Inc. by $45,000, for a total of $165,000, to cover monthly on-line fees and other services for the remainder of the 2013/14 fiscal year. Attachments: Report 8 EMERGENCY GAS TURBINE COMBUSTOR REPAIR SERVICES AT THE CLEARWATER COGENERATION POWER PLANT IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RIVERSIDE CITY CHARTER ARTICLE XII, SECTION 1202 (B) That the Board of Public Utilities ratify the issuance of Purchase Order No.143803 in the amount of $250,000 for emergency gas turbine combustor repairs with GE Packaged Power Inc., of Houston, Texas, in accordance with Article XII, Section 1202(b) of the Riverside City Charter. Attachments: Report DISCUSSION CALENDAR 9 EXCUSE BOARD MEMBER RON COLE’S ABSENCES FROM REGULAR MEETINGS That the Board of Public Utilities excuse Board Member Ron Cole’s absence today (Friday, April 18, 2014) and future absences from meetings on May 2, 2014, May 16, 2014, June 6, 2014, and June 20, 2014 of the Board of Public Utilities. Approve a Professional Services Agreement with GRID Alternatives, of Riverside, California, for the Affordable Solar Energy for Riverside program; and 2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Agreement. (presentation by Mike Bacich – 10 min) Attachments: Report Agreement 11 CITY OF RIVERSIDE POLICY ON THE ALLOWABLE USE OF GREENHOUSE GAS ALLOWANCE VALUE AND PROCEEDS That the Board of Public Utilities approve and recommend that the City Council: 1. Approve Riverside’s Policy on the Permitted Use of Greenhouse Gas Allowance Value and Proceeds; 2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to make changes to the Policy in accordance with the goals of Assembly Bill 32 and herein for the benefit of Riverside’s retail electric ratepayers; and 3. Approve the preparation and filing of the reports necessary to meet the applicable regulatory requirements of Assembly Bill 32.
