MISSION STATEMENT
The City of Riverside Public Utilities Department is committed to the highest quality
water and electric services at the lowest possible rates to benefit the community
The City of Riverside wishes to make all of its public meetings accessible to the public.
Upon request, this agenda will be made available in appropriate alternative formats to

VISTA TERRACE FOR NEW TRACT 35932 AND TRACT 35932-1, 111 SINGLE
FAMILY RESIDENCES - WORK ORDER NO. 1414754
That the Board of Public Utilities approve the estimated capital expenditure of
$150,000 for Work Order No. 1414754 for the installation of 12 pad-mounted
transformers, four underground structures, one pad-mounted junction cabinet and
related distribution facilities for Tract 35932 and Tract 35932-1.

That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve the award of a Purchase Order in the amount of $62,507.16 to
OneSource Distributors, of San Diego, California, for a 69 kV circuit switcher and
associated equipment; and
2. Approve the award of a Purchase Order in the amount of $110,152.44 to
Controllix Corporation, of Walton Hills, Ohio, for a capacitor bank.

That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Approve the Second Amendment to Master Agreement for General Landscape
Maintenance at Various Public Utilities Properties, RFP No. 1242, with Mariposa
Landscapes, Inc., of Irwindale, California from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015 in the
amount of $239,634.16; and
2. Authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to execute the Second
Amendment.

That the Board of Public Utilities approve the expenditure of $57,200 for Work

scheduled July 4, 2014 Board meeting because of the holiday.

That the Board of Public Utilities approve the annual purchase order requirements
for Fiscal Year 2014-15 in the estimated amount of $9,712,909, contingent upon
final budget adoption by the City Council.

Transformer Corp of Roanoke, Virginia, for a power transformer and associated
equipment as part of the Harvey Lynn Substation Power Transformer and
Switchgear Replacement project; and
2. Approve a Purchase Order in the amount of $887,603.40 to Myers Power
Products of Ontario, California, for a switchgear and associated equipment as part
of the Harvey Lynn Substation Power Transformer and Switchgear Replacement
project.

1. Award a contract for the construction of the Johnson Well No. 4 Equipping and
16-Inch Pipeline Project – Bid No. RPU-7207 to the lowest responsive bidder,
Cora Constructors Inc., of Palm Desert, California, in the amount of $604,934; and
2. Approve the capital expenditure of $906,500 for Work Order No. 1115202,
which includes all design, construction, contract administration, inspection and
construction contingency costs for the Johnson Well No. 4 Equipping and 16-Inch
Pipeline Project – Bid No. RPU-7207.

16 UPDATE ON WATER SUPPLY PORTFOLIO PLANNING
That the Board of Public Utilities:
1. Receive an update on the Riverside Public Utilities’ water supply portfolio
planning;
2. Review and provide feedback on the draft “Policy Principles for Water Portfolio
Management”; and
3. Authorize through the annual budget process the establishment of an internally
restricted $10,000,000 reserve for future recycled water project projects.
