December 3, 2024 CITY OF ROCKDALE PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING Present: P&Z Commissioners: City Staff: Doug Williams, Chair Timothy Kelty, City Manager Joan Ratliff, Vice Chair Shanna Johnson, City Secretary Bob Slobod Ben Blanchard, City Planner Charles Miles Scott Starnes, Council Liaison Absent: Daniel Willie Jason Barcak Call to order and announce a Quorum is Present With a quorum present, the Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting was called to order by Chair Williams at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2024, at Rockdale City Hall, 505 West Cameron Avenue, Rockdale, Texas. 3. Citizen Communications No comments made. 4A. The Planning and Zoning Commission recognizes John Williams and Leslie Davidson. Item moved to January meeting. 4B. Receive a presentation from Chair Williams on the City Council meeting. Mr. Blanchard updated the commission on the city council approved items including the noise ordinance, parking on unimproved surfaces ordinance, outdoor storage ordinance, The Dollar Tree replacement variance, the variance request and plat for 633 W. Cameron Ave, the variance request and final plat for 1013 W. Cameron Ave, the final plat for 310 Calhoun Street, and the variance request for 302 W. Bell Avenue. SA. Conduct a public hearing on a rezone request for property located at 629 W Cameron and 633 W Cameron from C-2 zoning classification to R-lC zoning classification. Public hearing was opened at 1:40 p.m. No comments were received: With no further comments, the public hearing was closed at 1:41 p.m.
