Minutes (Draft) Board of Adjustments July 15, 2021 Conducted in the Sam King Room of City Hall and via Zoom 2:30 pm MEMBERS PRESENT: Terry Williamson, Von Lambert, Phil Burkhalter, Jarrod Johnson, Will Byington MEMBERS ABSENT: Cameron Abney, One Vacant Position STAFF PRESENT: Artagus Newell, Brice Wood, Reneé Nolan, James Martin, Bruce Ivey, Chris Jackson, Meredith Ulmer PUBLIC PRESENT: Stephanie Phillips WELCOME: Chair Williamson called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone at approximately 2:30 PM DETERMINATION OF QUORUM: A quorum was determined via roll call. REVIEW OF THE MINUTES: Staff recommended that the minutes be amended to show that Phil Burkhalter was present instead of absent. Von Lambert made a motion to approve the June 2021 Minutes, which was seconded by Phil Burkhalter. The motion passed unanimously (5-0). APPROVAL OF AGENDA: Will Byington made a motion to approve the agenda, which was seconded by Phil Burkhalter. The motion passed unanimously (5-0). BOA21-07-02, requests a variance to reduce the road frontage requirement from 60 feet to 30 feet for the property located at 780 Turkey Mountain Road, Armuchee, GA 30105, Floyd County Tax Parcel J09W059. Applicant/Owner: Perry Phillips. Brice Wood presented the application, staff report and staff recommendation of approval. Stephanie Phillips was present to speak on behalf of the application. There was no one present to speak in opposition. Von Lambert made a motion to approve, which was seconded by Will Byington. The motion to approve carried with a 5- 0 vote. Adjournment Jerrod Johnson made the motion to adjourn, which was seconded by Will Byington. The motion passed by common consent.
