CITY OF ROME CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS APPLICATIONS: 12 Sherwood Road SW College Heights local historic district Chair Dunay opened the public hearing. Associate Planner Brittany Griffin presented the facts and the application to the Commission and the public. Carport addition request In Favor: Tamara Worley, Bill Jones architect Jones – Window remaining 6 over 6 to be repaired. Three front windows with 6/6 double hung. Replace front steel windows with 6/6 double hung. Stairwell – 9-light casement. Against: zero Chair Dunay closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. Vice chair Mandy Maloney and Associate Planner Brittany Griffin questioned the location of the extension regarding the property line. Bill jones stated that the property was surveyed, and the furthest corner of the extension will be within the property line; however, a variance from the Board of Adjustment will be required. 1 MEMBER MEMBER M – Motion F – For A – Against S – Second AB – Abstained S Paula Blalock F Jake Hager A David Clonts M Mandy Maloney F Beth Dunay F Brandi Townsend F Chris Davidson Motion Carried/Denied: Motion to approve with condition that all variances are acquired from the Board of Adjustment before a COA will be issued. Carried 6-0 (Approve, Approve w/Conditions, Deny, Find Incomplete) 100 Sherwood Road SW College Heights local historic district Chair Dunay opened the public hearing. Associate Planner Brittany Griffin presented the facts and the application to the Commission and the public. Exterior alteration request In Favor: Susan Elphingstone, Bill Jones architect Close in existing carport. Against: 0 Brandie Townsend exited Zoom before commission vote could be made. Chair Dunay closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. Approval of Minutes from September 2021 meeting; Approved 5-0. Second by Blalock. Motion carried unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 3:48 pm.
