Welcome and Introduction of Visitors
Chair Clonts welcomed the public to the meeting and requested that all visitors sign in.
Approval of July 2022 Agenda Blalock made a motion to approve which was seconded by Dunay and approved by common consent.
Approval of Minutes from June 2022 meeting. Misspelling of Brandie’ s name will be corrected. Townsend made a motion to approve
with correction, which was seconded by Dunay and approved by common consent.
CITY OF ROME CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS APPLICATIONS:

Chair Clonts opened the public hearing. Associate Planner Brittany Griffin presented the facts and the application to the Commission and
the public.
In Favor: Cathy Strickland, spoke on behalf of her daughter in for the project. Against: No one was present to speak in opposition.
Associate Planner Griffin provided the staff report and the staff recommendation.
Chair Clonts closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. Dunay made a motion to approve with condition that
metal roof has a matte finish, which was seconded by Blalock. The motion passed 4-0.

Chair Clonts opened the public hearing. Associate Planner Brittany Griffin presented the facts and the application to the Commission and
the public.
In Favor: Ira Levy spoke on behalf of the project. Ira brought handouts for the board to review. Dunay motioned to accept the handouts
for review and it was seconded by Townsend. Against: No one was present to speak in opposition.
Associate Planner Griffin provided the staff report and the staff recommendation of approval on the condition that any changes to the
stair design, or exterior elevations come back to the HPC floor approval.
Chair Clonts closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. Clonts made a motion to approve as submitted as
long as all engineering requirements are met, which was seconded by Blalock. The motion passed 4-0.

the public.

the HPC for approval.
Chair Clonts closed the public hearing and opened it up for Commission comments. Dunay made a motion to approve as, which was
seconded by Townsend. The motion passed 4-0. This now moves on to review by the River Corridor Committee.

Final Comments on City Project: Milner Building: Dunay requested that they use wheat based paint if possible.
