Special Meeting of the Airport Advisory Commission
Roswell Air Center Conference Room
Tuesday, May 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM
Notice of this meeting given to the public in compliance with Section 10-15-1 through 10-15-4
NMSA 1978 and Resolution 24-02.
ROLL CALL
2. The meeting convened at 11:01 A.M. With Chair Kunkel presiding; Commissioner McDonald,
Commissioner Powell and Commissioner Hitchcock being present,with Vice Chair Espiritu
being absent
Staff present: Jennifer Griego, Jenna Lanfor, and Lisa Bennett.
Guests present: Terri Harber joining via GoToMeeting.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA
3. Commissioner Powell made a motion to approve the agenda as presented.
Commissioner Hitchcock was the second. A voice vote was 4-0. The motion passed, with
Vice Chair Espiritu being absent.
ACTION ITEMS
4. Consider recommending to Legal Committee that the primary location for a large hangar and
possibly some general aviation hangars be located:
a. Wide-Body Hangar at the former Ascent Site
b. Future General Aviation Hangars in the vicinity of Hangar 91
c. Alternative site on South Christmas Tree.
Commissioner Hitchcock made a motion to recommend to the Legal Committee action item #4
as stated on the agenda. Commissioner McDonald was the second. A voice vote was 4-0. The
motion passed, with Vice Chair Espiritu being absent.

voice vote was 4-0. The motion passed, with Vice Chair Espiritu being absent. The meeting
adjourned at 11:06 A.M.
