The request to increase cremain opening/closing by $100 was discussed. The committee voted to increase the opening and closing by $50. The increase will begin in July 2013. The next item Mr. Kirk advised the Board that he and the Cemetery Superintendent, Mr. Esquivel, planned to go out to the City’s nursery, but, the funeral schedule has been full and they have not yet been able to. Mr. Perry then asked for a further discussion on the chains at the Circle. He was concerned that the general public was still calling him asking why the chains were up even though the east gate was closed. Mr. Kirk stated he wanted to keep the chains up because the road thru the Circle was not wide enough for 2 cars to go thru.
