Minutes of the Cemetery Board Meeting Tuesday, February 19, 2019 REGULAR MEETING 4:00 P.M Committee Member Present: Jack Ferguson, President Jim Bloodhart, Vice President Jeremy Hurley, Secretary Juan Oropesa, Liaison Committee Members Absent: Gabriel Casaus, Member Staff Present: Ruben Esquivel, Cemetery Superintendent Daisy Diaz, Administrative Assistant Others Present: Gina Montague, Administrative Assistant Jake Trujillo, Visitor Call to Order The meeting was called to order at 4:05 p.m. by President, Jack Ferguson. Committee members present Bloodhart, Hurley, and Oropesa. Approval of Agenda Mr. Bloodhart moved to approve the agenda as presented. Mr. Hurley was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion carried, the February 19, 2019 agenda was approved. Approval of Minutes Mr. Hurley made a motion, seconded by Mr. Bloodhart to approve the minutes of the January 15, 2019 meeting. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion carried. Action None Non-Action Items 2. Sexton’s Report- Superintendent Ruben Esquivel reported a total of 25 burials for January and 21 services as of February 19, 2019. 3. Bookkeeper’s Report- Mrs. Diaz reported 1 lot sale and 2 new contracts for January and as of February 19, 2019 1 new contract. 4. Update on City Council meeting regarding fees- Mr. Esquivel reported that the item was presented to the City Council, but item was tabled and more information was requested. 5. Update on South Park Cemetery Columbarium’s- Mr. Esquivel stated that the contract is moving forward and a purchase requisition has been requested.
