Minutes of the Cemetery Board Meeting Tuesday, July 16, 2019 REGULAR MEETING 4:00 P.M Committee Member Present: Jack Ferguson, President Jeremy Hurley, Secretary Jason Perry, Member Committee Members Absent: Jim Bloodhart, Vice President Danny Fulkerson, Member Juan Oropesa, Liaison Staff Present: Ruben Esquivel, Cemetery Superintendent Daisy Diaz, Administrative Assistant Call to Order President, Jack Ferguson, called the meeting to order at 4:03 p.m. Committee members present Hurley and Perry. Approval of Agenda Mr. Hurley moved to approve the agenda as presented. Mr. Perry was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion carried, the July 16, 2019 agenda was approved. Approval of Minutes Mr. Perry made a motion, seconded by Mr. Hurley to approve the minutes of the May 21, 2019 meeting. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion carried. Action 2. Election of Officers- Mr. Ferguson opened floor for nominations. Mr. Hurley made motion to leave President as is. Mr. Perry was second. Voice vote was unanimous motion carried and Mr. Ferguson was named President. Mr. Hurley made motion to leave Vice President as is. Mr. Perry was second. Voice vote was unanimous motion carried and Mr. Bloodhart was named Vice President. Mr. Perry made motion to leave Secretary as is. Jeremy Hurley was second. Voice vote was unanimous motion carried and Mr. Hurley was named Secretary. Non-Action Items 3. Sexton’s Report- Superintendent Ruben Esquivel reported a total of 27 burials for May, and 27 for June. As of July 16, 2019 a total of 16 burial services had been held at South Park Cemetery and General Douglas McBride Veteran’s Cemetery. 4. Bookkeeper’s Report- Mrs. Diaz reported 3 lot sales, and 1 new contract for May. For June 1 transfer, 4 lot sale, and 1 contract. As of July 16, 2019 no additional activity.
