Robert Glenn Presentation Robert stated the City water lines are leaking badly. The numbers from production are way higher than what we consume. So, the City is using a lot more water than is billed. The City is currently working on updating a digital map of all the City infrastructure when we do any work. As well as, using the rate increase to fix critical infrastructure. ITRON and TYLERMUNI have issues with connecting to each other which causes issues to see everything the meters are doing digitally. Especially with any new meter, because an update has never been completed. The system was never fully set up and is in the works to being fixed. 1 Regular Meeting of the Drought Contingency Task Force Roswell City Hall 415 N. Richardson Tuesday, June 11, 2024 There is a software that will allow TYLERMUNI and ITRON to notify customers and billing when there are customer leaks, but we did not buy that addition. We are working on a new system that will allow customers to log in and see there usage. Robert advised the task force that we need to figure out what municipal code we want to enact to enforce for water conservation. There will be a July news letter about conservation attached to the bill and it will be attached bi-monthly. We have a well monitor bubbler that will monitor the wells drawdown and recharge rate. Two more are on order. 2. Monthly Main Breaks The Drought Contingency Task Force was advised of the main areas of current main breaks since January of 2023. This showed main breaks have been occurring all over the City due to the age of the lines. 3. Top 20 Consumption Report The Drought Contingency Task Force was advised of the top 20 users for the months of July and December of 2023, that were broken in residential, base location residential, commercial, base location residential, and business in the pretreatment plan. 4. Designated Park Wells Aron Balok was going to speak about installing designated wells for park irrigation. Aron was unable to attend the meeting and this will be tabled until the July 9, 2024 meeting. Water Conservation Specialist Chantel Longway advised there are currently three parks with designated wells.
