Special Finance Committee Meeting City Hall – Large Conference Room 425 N. Richardson Monday, May 2, 2022 Notice of this meeting was given to the public in compliance with Sections 10-15-1 through 10-15-4 NMSA 1978 and Resolution 22-14. ROLL CALL The meeting convened at 4:01 p.m. with Chairman Corn presiding; Councilors Heldenbrand and Foster present, and Councilor Perry being absent. Staff present: Joe Neeb, Juan Fuentes, Mike Matthews, Juanita Jennings, Janie Davies, Renee Trujillo, Abraham Chaparro, Louis Najar (via GoToMeeting) Guests present: Mayor Timothy Jennings, Councilor Jeanine Best, Larry Connolly, KOAT (via GoToMeeting), Rita Kane-Doerhoefer (via GoToMeeting) NON-ACTION ITEMS Review and discussion of reports as part of the budget process for the Fiscal Year 2023: Ms. Davies and Mr. Fuentes presented information on how the City of Roswell prepares its municipal budget. FOR THE RECORD: Councilor Perry joined the meeting at 4:10 p.m. via GoToMeeting. The following areas were specifically discussed with the Committee and City Manager Joe Neeb: • Revenue Projections • General Fund • Special Revenue Funds FOR THE RECORD: Councilor Perry left the meeting at 5:03 p.m. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION Larry Connolly discussed marijuana sales in the FY23 budget and business license fees.
