Special Meeting of the Finance Committee Roswell Convention & Civic Center – Meeting Room A 912 N. Main Street Monday, May 15, 2023 Notice of this meeting was given to the public in compliance with Sections 10-15-1 through 10-15-4 NMSA 1978 and Resolution 23-01. ROLL CALL The meeting convened at 2:09 p.m. with Chairman Corn presiding; Councilor Heldenbrand present, Councilor Perry present via GoToMeeting; and with Councilor Foster being absent. Staff present: Chanel Rey, Juan Fuentes, Hess Yntema, Chade Cole Janie Davies, Robert Glenn, Renee Trujillo, Jim Burress, Lorenzo Sanchez, Abraham Chaparro, Jacob Sanders, and Elizabeth Prichard. Guests present: Terri Harber, Rita Kane Doehoefer, Mayor Timothy Jennings, Kerry Moore, Roswell Police Officers Association President, and Councilor Best. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Councilor Heldenbrand motioned to approve the agenda with an amendment to add Public Comments to the Agenda as Item E. Councilor Perry was the second. A voice vote was 3-0, and the motion passed, with Councilor Perry participating via GoToMeeting and Councilor Foster being absent. ITEMS 1. Discussion and Recommendation of preliminary Fiscal year 2024 Revenue and Expenditure Budget: Presented by Chanel Rey and Janie Davies. Councilor Heldenbrand moved to approve the preliminary fiscal year 2024 revenue and expenditure budget with the adjustment to the budget as amended. Councilor Corn was the second. A voice vote was 2-1, and the motion passed with Councilor Perry voting no and participating via GoToMeeting, and Councilor Foster being absent. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION: No public participation.
