Regular Meeting of the General Services Committee Held in the Conference Room at City Hall May 27, 2015 Notice of this meeting was given to the public in compliance with Sections 10-15-1 through 10- 15-4 NMSA 1978 and Resolution 14-36. ROLL CALL The meeting convened at 4:00 p.m. with Chairman Oropesa presiding, Councilors Mackey and Sanchez present; Councilor Best was absent. Staff present: Mike Mathews, Elizabeth Stark-Rankins, Ruben Esquivel, Elaine Mayfield and Laurie Jerge. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Councilor Sanchez moved to approve the May 27, 2015 regular General Services Committee Meeting Agenda as presented. Councilor Mackey was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed; Councilor Best was absent. Regular Items Request approval for the continuation of service with Forrest Tire for fleet management & maintenance services. Mr. Mathews discussed the contract between Forrest Tire and the City of Roswell. The request is a continuation of service pursuant to RFP #11-008. Councilor Mackey moved to approve the request for continuation of service with Forrest Tire for fleet management & maintenance services. Councilor Sanchez was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed; Councilor Best was absent. NON-ACTION ITEMS A report regarding the special event Party on the River. Ms. Jerge gave a report regarding Party on the River. Statistics for the event include donations, income and expenses. Discuss and Review Veterans Cemetery Rules and Regulations. Mr. Zarr discussed the General Douglas McBride Veterans Cemetery rules and regulations. The purpose of these rules and regulations is to set out the requirements and associated fees for burial in the cemetery as well as the operational details and general management guidelines for the cemetery. For the record Councilor Sanchez left at 5:10 p.m. Convention and Visitors Center update. As per previous Building and Lands Committee, staff from Convention and Visitors Center do not need to attend every meeting. Statistics and reports will be submitted in agenda for reference.
