Special Meeting of the Legal Committee Held in the Mayor’s Conference Room at City Hall May 6, 2015 Notice of this meeting was given to the public in compliance with Sections 10-15-1 through 10-15-4 NMSA 1978 and Resolution 14-36. ROLL CALL The meeting convened at 4:45 p.m. with Chairman Perry presiding, Councilor Henderson and Councilor Mackey present. Councilor Denny was absent. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Councilor Henderson moved to approve the May 6, 2015 Special Legal Committee Meeting Agenda as presented. Councilor Mackey was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed. Councilor Denny was absent. REGULAR ITEMS Resolution No. 15-28 – Weeds Councilor Henderson moved to approve Resolution No. 15-28 Weeds. Councilor Mackey was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed. Councilor Denny was absent. Resolution No. 15-29 – Condemnations Councilor Mackey moved to approve Resolution No. 15-29 Condemnations. Councilor Henderson was the second. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed. Councilor Denny was absent. The City Council members and Special Services Director, Mike Mathews had a discussion of weeds and condemnations not going through a committee and going directly to the City Council agenda as consent items. Mr. Mathews will discuss with the Public Safety Committee at their next meeting. Brief discussion of researching more into state laws concerning the growing and distribution of medical cannabis; amendments to the zoning ordinance concerning secondary structures; and illegal tattooing.
