Pecos Valley Regional Communications Center Board of Directors Minutes Held in the Chaves County Administration Building Wednesday, April 05, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. The meeting convened at 1335 hrs. with Britt Snyder presiding, Louis Najar, Devin Graham, Monte Baker, and Stan Riggs being present. Dennis Kintigh and Phil Smith being absent. Others attending were: Sharon Coll, Mike McClain, Matt Stewart, Daniel Ornelas, Joe Portio, Cartis Portio, Shane Baker, Karen Sanders, Mike Stanton, Alison Herring and Tracy Laney. A motion to approve the agenda as was made by Devin Graham and seconded by Louis Najar. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed with Dennis Kintigh and Phil Smith being absent. A motion to approve the minutes from 03.01.2017 as Amended was made by Devin Graham and seconded by Louis Najar. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed with Dennis Kintigh and Phil Smith being absent. Action Items: Request to vote for approval for epuipment to be installed on Comanche Hill Tower site by the NM Office of the State Engineer, for water monitoring. A motion to approve the Mou between the City of Roswell and OSE was made by Louis Najar and seconded by Stan Riggs. A voice vote was unanimous and the motion passed with Dennis Kintigh and Phil Smith being absent. Non Action Items: Staffing Report-Update on Hiring Process: Tracy Laney stated that after the interviews three people were selected to hire, but one of them never came in to do the typing test so only two names were sent to the city contract investigator, one did not pass the background investigation and the other decided to withdraw from the process. So on Monday I submitted to HR to re-advertise for the 3 positions. Digital Radio System- Status Update: The Portables that have been issued have the Emergency siren tones in them. They need to be reprogrammed again. Dispatch Consoles- On March 21st Tracy Laney went to Albuquerque and American Moving picked up 16 dispatch consoles and brought them back to Roswell and stored them in the city warehouse on Lincoln street. This is in preparation to make a back up 1 dispatch location in area “D” here at the county building since State Police are shutting down dispatch operations in Roswell on the Friday at Midnight. Artesia has agreed to be our Backup 911 PSAP. We have received two boxes of warrants from the State Police and have two people on overtime to enter the warrants, we expect to get over 500.
