MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEETING

REGULAR MEETING AT 4:00 p.m.
A. CALL TO ORDER
Board Chair Cymantha Liakos called the meeting of the Board of Trustees to order at 4:24 p.m. Meeting started late
due to technical difficulties.
B. ROLL CALL
The meeting of the Board of Trustees convened with members Cymantha Liakos, Lorrina Segovia, Jessica Parham,
Kay Jenkins, Donovan Fulkerson, Peggy Krantz, Anne Baker and Priscilla Ornelas being present via GoTo Meeting. A
quorum was established with members Jamie Barnes, Valli West and Bill Siders being absent.
Staff present: Caroline Brooks, Executive Director; Wendy Cook, Communications and Events Coordinator and
Cindy Torrez, Executive Director RMAC Foundation.
Community members present: None identified.
C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member Jenkins motioned to approve the agenda. Member Parham seconded. A voice vote was 8-0 and the
motion passed with members Barnes, West and Siders being absent.
D. APPROVAL OF June 22, 2020 MINUTES
Member Jenkins motioned to approve the minutes for the July 20, 2020 meeting with one correction to add
Member Jenkins and remove Member Segovia from the board member roll call. Member Segovia seconded. A
voice vote was 8-0 and the motion passed with members Jamie Barnes, Valli West and Bill Siders being absent.

RMAC Foundation Director Torrez shared that the Foundation has decided to focus on boosting Museum
Membership for the time being.

A. CALL TO ORDER
Board Chair Cymantha Liakos called the meeting of the Board of Trustees to order at 4:05 p.m.
B. ROLL CALL
The meeting of the Board of Trustees convened with members Jamie Barnes, Valli West, Cymantha Liakos, Bill
Siders, Lorrina Segovia, Anne Baker and Priscilla Ornelas being present via GoTo Meeting. A quorum was
established with members Lorrina Segovia, Peggy Krantz and Bill Siders being absent.
Staff present: Caroline Brooks, Executive Director; Aubrey Hobart, Curator of Collections & Exhibitions; Wendy
Cook, Communications and Events Coordinator and Cindy Torrez, Executive Director RMAC Foundation.

C. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Member West motioned to approve the agenda. Member Jenkins seconded. A voice vote was 7-0 and the motion
passed with members Segovia, Krantz and Siders being absent.
D. APPROVAL OF June 22, 2020 MINUTES
Member West motioned to approve the minutes for the June 22, 2020, board meeting. Member Jenkins seconded.
A voice vote was 7-0 and the motion passed with members Segovia, Krantz and Siders being absent.
E. Discuss and consider approval of Ellen Landis donation of Wayne Lazorik print.
At the recommendation of the BOT collections working group, member Parham motioned to accept the Ellen
Landis donation of Wayne Lazorik print. Member West seconded. A voice vote was 7-0 and the motion passed with
members Segovia, Krantz and Siders being absent.
F. Discuss and consider approval of Page Coleman donation of Garo Antreasian print.
At the recommendation of the BOT collections working group, member Parham motioned to accept the Paige
Coleman donation of Garo Antreasian print. Member West seconded. A voice vote was 7-0 and the motion passed
with members Segovia, Krantz and Siders being absent.
G. Discuss and consider approval of admission fees
Director Brooks presented a BOT action request document to discuss and consider approval of Museum admission
rates. Members suggested that Roswell city residents be included in a discounted rate category at a $7 ticket price.
Member West motioned to approve the proposed admission rates with the inclusion of the Roswell resident
discount. Member Ornelas seconded. A voice vote was 7-0 and the motion passed with members Segovia, Krantz
and Siders being absent.

H. REOPENING PLANS
Museum Director Caroline Brooks shared that discussions were underway to consider reopening the Museum
sometime this fall following CDC guidelines and in coordination with the City Administration.

RMAC Foundation Director Torrez shared that the Foundation has been meeting remotely this summer. They have
approved four new Foundation board members, but they are not yet confirmed. A budget for the Museum has
been approved and an endowment committee has been established.
