Committee for Overcapacity Crowds 7 October, 2014 ~ 4:00 ~ RPL Bondurant Room Committee Members: Lewie Montgomery, Michelle Hembree, Magil Duran, Deanne Dekle, and Betty Long Defined Issues – Possible Solutions 150 Capacity Betty spoke with the Fire Marshall and we will be reissued capacity signs. This will help us to inform the public. The limit is 150 people per Fire Marshall. (We wanted to have Betty get some clarification on this topic.) We have taken note to include this information in future advertisements of events, and the library staff has currently been in the practice of doing so on their announcements and calendars. Accommodating Large Groups Closed-circuit showing of applicable programs (we are looking into possible costs of system going from Bondurant Room to the Malone Room Any advice or guidance would be appreciated). Ropes or queue dividers for better organization pre-performance. (Many styles and costs of retractable belt poles and ones that just connect to all, depending on needs and budget—we can be more specific with our search.) Reach out to day cares, schools, and other summer programs. -- arrange tours of facilities that will be organized to introduce all that is involved with the library experience.
