Market value/allocation of assets as of June 30, 2021, is $156,515,787. Current month – total portfolio underperformed the benchmark: 0.49% vs. 1.10% index. 3-month performance – total portfolio outperformed the benchmark: 5.52% vs. 5.31% index. Year-to date performance – total portfolio outperformed the benchmark: 9.64% vs. 8.55% index. 1-year performance – total portfolio outperformed the benchmark: 29.01% vs. 26.65% index. 3-year performance – total portfolio underperformed the benchmark: 11.23% vs. 12.18% index. Inception – total portfolio underperformed the benchmark: 9.36% vs. 10.52% index. Brian reported that the portfolio, from both a 2nd quarter and fiscal year ending June 30, 2021 perspective, ended in positive territory across the board. Brian also reported that AndCo feels that the 1 current inflationary environment is due to the continued and gradual reopening of the economy, which will level out throughout the rest of 2021. Brian also reported that the real estate market is still booming, which has resulted in a 5% gain in the 2nd quarter from the Prisa II real estate fund. To mitigate the spread of COVID-19, to protect the public health, and provide essential protections to vulnerable Michiganders, it is crucial that all Michiganders take steps to limit in- person contact. The critical mitigation measures include social distancing and limiting the number of people interacting at public gatherings. Conducting the July 16, 2021, Royal Oak Retiree Health Care Investment Board of Trustees meeting in person would risk the personal health or safety of members of the public and/or the retiree health care investment board of trustees. Therefore, the meeting will be held electronically, in compliance with PA 228 and PA 254 of 2020 and procedures established by the Royal Oak City Commission.
