The grant was obtained for $290,000; the difference could allow additional work to be performed. July 2024 KRUE Commission Meeting Minutes Updates on Old Business KRUE Project Update (See attachment from McClelland): Electronic Monitoring System for Air Traffic:  The amount of air traffic reported will never be accurate if we’re relying on manpower to keep count. o Lots of traffic after hours  Goal to acquire an automatic/electronic monitoring system for 2025 and beyond Civil Air Patrol Airfest/River Valley Rally 9/21/24:  CAP Recruiting Event - Ongoing o Fly-in spectators o Fly-by demonstrations o Formation Flying (RV Group Bulldogs) o Food o Open to the Public  Welcome Miranda Harris, CAP Member o Experienced Fundraiser o Will be contacting Vendors, Food Trucks, and donors o Raffle ideas (pit boss) o Contact Aviation businesses for donations o Electronic billboard use donation  See attached Donation form for more information  Working with Seth Lake o Seth will organize planes and pilots  Pilots must be 500+hr, commercial rating is no longer required  Donations made to Arkansas Flight Safety Cooperative o Benefiting two Charities in the River Valley  Actions needed: o Create an Event Committee and request volunteers o Create Inclement Weather Plan o Flyer for advertisement needed ASAP o Follow-up for Static Display Aircraft o Live Music – one or more bands? o Discuss expanding the event for longer hours, offering “Sunset” or “night” flights  Intermission to have some aeronautical demonstrations between afternoon and evening flights July 2024 KRUE Commission Meeting Minutes New Business: New Land Lease  Tim Hill Land Lease request is moving forward New Business Proposal  Humble Aviation coming to KRUE in the coming months for aircraft restoration and manufacturing out of 1W Miscellaneous:  Help Brainstorm design ideas / pilot sayings / aviation mottos for engraved tumblers (drinkware) Open Action Items (Owner – Action – Due Date): 1.
