Russellville Regional Airport (RUE)
Project Status – 8/22 Commission Meeting
1. Runway Remarking & Apron Reconstruction Phase I Design Only – FY 23 Project
FAA is processing the amendment for the additional runway hold position marking
replacement. Once the amendment letter is issued, the City can make the final drawdown and
apply for a state match grant.
2. Apron Reconstruction Phase I Construction – FY 24 Project
Awaiting FAA to issue the companion grant applications. Working on Change Order 1 to
replace the aircraft tie down cables with tie down anchors and T markings.
3. Taxiway Bravo Connection
Construction began Monday, August 19th to construct the missing portion of Taxiway Bravo.
Estimated completion date is September 28th.
4. Taxiway Rehabilitation
This project will include pavement edge grading, crack seal, seal coat, and new markings on
Taxiway Alpha and associated connectors.
The low bid totaled approximately $54,000 below budget; therefore, we put together a
change order in the amount of $53,850. This change order will add the portion of Taxiway
Bravo west of the terminal apron, the portions of the terminal apron that will not be included in
Phases I or II of the FAA apron reconstruction projects, and the taxilane for Hangar 10 East.
The low bid and change order have been submitted for approval by the City. We estimate
construction will start sometime in October.
