CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING 5:00 p.m., January 23, 2018 1st Floor Conference Room, City Hall Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Toni Bachman, Chairman Present Eric Westcott, City Council Liaison, Absent Bert Fleck, Absent Trey Smith, City Attorney, Absent Jim Campbell, Absent Jeff Humphrey, Police Chief, Present Phillip Lea, Present Kirk Slone, Fire Chief, Present Garrie Kellam, Absent Brent Hamm, Battalion Chief, Present Ray Watkins, Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources, Present Jim Horton, Present Toni Bachman, Chairman called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. The Commission reviewed the minutes of the September meeting. Phillip Lea made a motion that the minutes be approved. Jim Horton seconded the motion and the minutes were approved with a revision to a date. OLD BUSINESS Civil Service Commission  None Police Department  None Fire Department  None NEW BUSINESS Civil Service Commission Fire Department Open House no dates have been set. Commission went into executive session to discuss a personnel matter. Action taken from Executive Session, updated PD list and removed applicants. Police Department 1. Remove applicants from civil service list. No entry level testing in March. Fire Department  1. Set date for promotional level testing. List expires in May. Tentative date set for May 5 and May 12. Assessment in the middle of the week. At 5:30 Phillip Lea made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. Jim Horton seconded the motion and the meeting was dismissed.
