RUSSELLVILLE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES 5:00 p.m., February 23, 2021 Police Station, Russellville and Online via Google Meets Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Phillip Lea, Chairman Present Trey Smith, City Attorney, Absent Toni Bachman, Absent David Ewing, Police Chief, Present Ruben Camacho, Present Kirk Slone, Fire Chief Absent Bert Fleck, Present Brent Hamm, Battalion Chief, Present Mark Lykins, Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources Absent Ray Watkins, Absent Phyllis Carruth, City Council Liaison Absent Chairman Lea called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. Minutes Reviewed -- The Commission reviewed the minutes of the January 26, 2021 meeting. Fleck made motion to approve the minutes as presented and Camacho seconded the motion. The Commission approved the minutes. OLD BUSINESS  None NEW BUSINESS Police Dept  Camacho made motion to enter executive session to edit the Police New Hire List. Fleck seconded the motion and the Commission approved the motion. The Commission entered executive session to discuss the applicants. The Commission exited executive motion and voted to edit the new hire list.  Following Chief Ewing’s presentation regarding certified officer Daniel Coates returning to RPD, Fleck made a motion to allow RPD to rehire certified officer Coates. Camacho seconded the motion and the Commission approved the motion. Fire Dept  None At 5:30 p.m. the meeting adjourned.
