RUSSELLVILLE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MINUTES CALLED MEETING 5:00 p.m., March 9, 2021 Police Station, Russellville and Online via Google Meets Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Phillip Lea, Chairman Present Trey Smith, City Attorney, Absent Toni Bachman, Present David Ewing, Police Chief, Present Ruben Camacho, Present Kirk Slone, Fire Chief Absent Bert Fleck, Present Brent Hamm, Battalion Chief, Absent Mark Lykins, Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources Absent Ray Watkins, Absent Phyllis Carruth, City Council Liaison Absent Meeting Minutes Chairman Lea called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. NEW BUSINESS Police Dept  Chief Ewing discussed the possibility to hire certified officer Lydia Mitchell’s at RPD. Lykins made a motion to recommend that RPD hire certified officer Mitchell. Fleck seconded the motion and the Commission approved the motion.  The Commission entered executive session to discuss the applicants on the Police New Hire List. The Commission exited executive motion and voted to edit the new hire list.  The date May 6, 2021 was set for Lieutenant promotional testing. Fire Dept  None At 5:30 p.m. the meeting adjourned.
