RUSSELLVILLE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION MINUTES CALLED MEETING April 5, 2022, 5:00 p.m., Police Station, Russellville and Online via Google Meets Commissioners: City/Department Representatives: Phillip Lea, Chairman Present Trey Smith, City Attorney, Absent Toni Bachman, Present David Ewing, Police Chief, Present Jon Brown, Absent Kirk Slone, Fire Chief, Absent Ruben Camacho, Present Brent Moix, Battalion Chief, Present Bert Fleck, Present Tanessa Vaughn, Human Resources, Absent Barbara Horton, Absent Mark Lykins, Present Meeting Minutes NEW BUSINESS  Chief Moix proposed the hiring of certified firefighter Marcus Bettis. Camacho moved and Bachman seconded motion to allow hiring Bettis per Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations, Chapter 3, part IV, Suspension of Competition. The Commission approved the motion.  Chief Ewing proposed the hiring of certified officer Zayne Johnson. Fleck moved and Bachman seconded motion to allow hiring Johnson per Civil Service Commission Rules and Regulations, Chapter 3, part IV, Suspension of Competition. The Commission approved the motion.  Lykins moved and Fleck seconded motion to enter into Executive Session for discussion of police personnel matters. Commission approved entering Executive Session. No action taken. At 5:30 p.m. meeting adjourned.
