Russellville Oakland Cemetery Commission Minutes Special Meeting February 27, 2020 The Russellville Oakland Cemetery Commission met for a special meeting on Thursday, February 27, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. in the 1st Floor Conference Room. Attending: Director Stephanie Warwick, City Attorney Trey Smith, Chairperson/Commissioner Mindy Hudson, Commissioner/Secretary Rebecca Howell, Commissioner Cindy Hlass, Commissioner Mary Moores Schwarz. Commissioner Kenneth Startup, City Council Liaison Justin Keller, and visitor Sean Ingram from The Courier Absent: City Finance Director Robin Johnson, Mayor Richard Harris, and visitor Erin Michael from the Mayor’s office Chairperson Hudson opened the special called meeting at 5:30 p.m. There was one item to discuss, due to the early termination of the grounds contract. New Business: The First Order of New Business was an update from Director Warwick regarding the lawn maintenance contract with All Seasons Lawn Care coming to an end on March 31, 2020. Director Warwick said that All Seasons has had this job for 12 years, and there have occasionally been staffing problems. She requested that the Commission allow her to put out bids for this service, to be run in The Courier on March 1st and 8th. Bids should be opened on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, and decisions made by the Finance Committee and City Council. “I feel City Council will make a good decision,” stated Director Warwick. There are requirements in the bid packet for the contract. Commissioner Startup made a motion to allow Director Warwick to advertise the bid, and Liaison Keller seconded the motion. The motion was unanimously approved. Following a motion by Liaison Keller and second by Commissioner Startup, Chairperson Hudson declared the meeting adjourned at about 5:55 p.m.
