REVISED Town Council Meeting Agenda Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02 notice is hereby given to the public that the Sahuarita Town Council will hold a meeting at the date and time specified below at the Sahuarita Council Chambers, 375 West Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, AZ. Members of the Town of Sahuarita Council will attend either in person or by telephone conference call. To better serve our community, the Sahuarita Council Chambers is wheelchair accessible. Persons with a disability may request a reasonable accommodation, such as a sign language interpreter, by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office at 520-822-8801. Call to Order 2. Invocation The Invocation will be given by Pastor Brian Steely from Sahuarita Baptist Church. Our invocations are provided by volunteers, and presenters will be accepted and welcomed regardless of religious affiliation. Interested parties may contact the Town Clerk. 3. Pledge of Allegiance The Pledge of Allegiance will be led by Jade Morales, a third grade student at Copper View Elementary. 4. Roll Call 5. Presentations A. Presentation of the Town of Sahuarita 2017 Employee Awards. 6. Approval of Agenda Action recommended: approve the agenda. 7. Call to the Public At this time, any member of the public is invited to address the Town Council on any issue which is on tonight’s Consent Agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon at a future meeting. Written comments regarding any item on the agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon may be submitted prior to the beginning of the council meeting for distribution to the Town Council. Pursuant to the Arizona Open Meeting Laws, the Council may not discuss the items, but individual members of the Council may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Council, may ask staff to review the matter, or may ask that the matter be placed on a future agenda. 8. Approval of the December 11, 2017 Regular Meeting Minutes. B. Approval to purchase a used 2009 Chevrolet C5500 Supreme Shuttle Bus from Las Vegas Bus Sales, Inc., utilizing the Tohono O’odham Grant Funding in the Sahuarita Police Department GARS Budget, in an amount not to exceed $31,527.34. C. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0534, authorizing the Town to enter into Contract No. 180039, an Intergovernmental Agreement with Pima County, for purpose of setting forth the terms for maintenance of the Anza-Llano Grande Trailhead, located within the Town of Sahuarita. 9. Public hearing and recommendation to the Arizona Department of Liquor Licenses and Control regarding an application for a Series 10 (Beer and Wine Store with sampling privileges) Liquor License by Sprouts Farmers Market #42, located at 18755 S. Nogales Highway, Green Valley, Arizona, 85614, within the incorporated limits of the Town of Sahuarita. Action recommended: pleasure of the Council. 10. Presentation and possible approval of Contract No. 180029, with Burns Wald-Hopkins Shambach Architects, Inc., dba BWS Architects, for design services for the Sahuarita Advanced Manufacturing and Technology Center, commencing January 23, 2018 and terminating December 1, 2019, in an amount not to exceed $456,123. Action recommended: approve the contract. 11. Possible adoption of the Pre-Annexation and Development Agreement with La Posada at Park Center, Inc. Action recommended: adopt the agreement. 12. Council and Town Manager Reports and Requests EXECUTIVE SESSION 13. Executive Session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A) (3) for discussion and consultation for legal advice with the Town Attorney, A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A) (4) for discussion and consultation with the Town Attorneys in order to consider the Town’s position and instruct its attorney regarding the Town’s position regarding contracts that are the subject of negotiations, and A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A) (7) for discussions and consultation with designated representatives of the Town in order to consider its position and instruct its representatives regarding negotiations for the purchase, sale or lease of real property; all related to real property located east of the municipal complex, for the purpose of initiating development of Phase 1 of the Town Center District Project. CONTINUATION OF REGULAR MEETING 14. Adjournment Action may be taken by the Town Council on any item listed on this agenda. The Town Council may vote to go into executive session pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.03 (A) (3) for discussion or consultation for legal advice with the Town Attorney concerning any matter listed on this agenda.
