Town Council Meeting Agenda Pursuant to A.R.S. § 38-431.02 notice is hereby given to the public that the Sahuarita Town Council will hold a meeting at the date and time specified below at the Sahuarita Council Chambers, 375 West Sahuarita Center Way, Sahuarita, AZ. Members of the Town of Sahuarita Council will attend either in person or by telephone conference call. To better serve our community, the Sahuarita Council Chambers is wheelchair accessible. Invocation The Invocation will be given by Pastor Efrain Zavala from Santa Cruz Valley United Methodist Chuch. Our invocations are provided by volunteers, and presenters will be accepted and welcomed regardless of religious affiliation. Interested parties may contact the Town Clerk. 3. Proclamation recognizing and proclaiming the month of August 2018 as Drowning Awareness Month. B. Proclamation recognizing and proclaiming the month of August 2018 as Child Support Awareness Month. C. Proclamation recognizing and proclaiming the month of September 2018 as Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. D. Presentation of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA), Distinguished Budget Award and Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting (CAFR Program). E. Presentation of the APWA 2018 Outstanding Public Works Employee award for Arizona to Public Works Director/Town Engineer M.J. Dillard. 6. Approval of Agenda Action recommended: approve the agenda. 7. Call to the Public Regular Meeting Agenda- August 27, 2018 Page 1 of 2  TOWN COUNCIL MEETING AGENDA At this time, any member of the public is invited to address the Town Council on any issue which is on tonight’s Consent Agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon at a future meeting. Written comments regarding any item on the agenda or on any issue which the Town Council can lawfully act upon may be submitted prior to the beginning of the council meeting for distribution to the Town Council. Pursuant to the Arizona Open Meeting Laws, the Council may not discuss the items, but individual members of the Council may respond to criticism made by those who have addressed the Council, may ask staff to review the matter, or may ask that the matter be placed on a future agenda. 8. Consent Agenda Action recommended: approve the consent agenda recommendations. A. Approval of the July 30, 2018 Special Meeting Minutes. B. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0562, authorizing the Town to enter into a cooperative agreement, Sahuarita Contract No. 190009, between the Town of Sahuarita and the United States Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, regarding the Drug Enforcement Administration Tucson Task Force with the Sahuarita Police Department, for the purpose of disrupting illicit drug traffic in the state of Arizona. C. Adoption of Resolution No. 2018-0555, vacating certain portions of public right-of-way and public utility easements and vesting title thereto in the adjacent landowner. D. Approval of the Final Plat for Entrada del Rio 2 (Case No. SA12-18-00001). 9. Discussion and possible approval of Contract No. 190006, for Emergency Food Services with the Community Food Bank-Green Valley Resource Center and Sahuarita Food Bank, in the amount of $42,000; commencing August 28, 2018 and terminating August 27, 2019; and possible approval of Contract No. 190007, for emergency housing, shelter and wastewater utility assistance services with Green Valley Assistance Services Inc., dba Valley Assistance Services, in the amount of $50,000; commencing August 28, 2018 and terminating August 27, 2019. Action recommended: approve the contracts. 10. Discussion and possible approval of the Financial Participation Agreement, Contract No. 190004, between the Town of Sahuarita and The Green Valley|Sahuarita Chamber of Commerce and Visitor Center for economic development, in the amount of $20,000; commencing July 1, 2018 and terminating June 30, 2019.
