AGENDA FOR REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL AUGUST 9, 2023 7:00 PM COURT ROOM OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING At approximately 6:30 PM, the Mayor and Council will hold a work session in the Conference Room for the purpose of reviewing agenda items and signing bills. No official action will be taken during this time. Pledge of allegiance and moment of silence. 1. Call to order at 7:00 PM. 2. A resolution approving and dispensing with the reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting of July 26, 2023. OLD BUSINESS: NEW BUSINESS: 3. A resolution authorizing the Empire Animal Rescue Society (EARS) and Salamanca Youth Football Club to hold a fundraiser. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera 4. A resolution authorizing a Letter of Intent on behalf of the City of Salamanca for Downtown Revitalization Initiative Round 7 and/or New York Forward Round 2 funding opportunities. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera 5. A resolution authorizing the Mayor and City Grant Writer to pursue grants and quotes for the construction of a records storage area. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera 6. A resolution approving the amended Military Leave Policy to be effective August 10, 2023. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera 7. Certain appointments by the Mayor and Common Council 8. A resolution to waive the agenda rule to consider other items(s), if necessary. 9. Communications from the Mayor and Council. 10. Reminder of other meetings – August 16th Police at 6:00, August 21st Charter at 6:00, August 22nd Youth Board at 4:30, and the next Regular Council will be August 23rd at 7:00. 11.
