AGENDA FOR REGULAR MEETING OF THE COMMON COUNCIL APRIL 9, 2025 7:00 PM COURT ROOM OF THE MUNICIPAL BUILDING At approximately 6:30 PM, the Mayor and Council will hold a work session for the purpose of reviewing agenda items and signing bills. No official action will be taken during this time. Pledge of allegiance and moment of silence. 1. Call to order at 7:00 PM. 2. A resolution approving and dispensing with the reading of the minutes of the last regular meeting of March 26, 2025. OLD BUSINESS. NEW BUSINESS: 3. A resolution establishing the dates and rules for Cleanup days in the City and the fees to be paid by the participants. Sponsor: Mayor Magiera 4. A resolution accepting the bid of Beichner Waste Services, Sinclairville, NY for the City Cleanup days garbage pick-up, in the amount of $255.00 per ton, $45.00 per freon item and $25.00 per television or computer equipment 5. A resolution authorizing the United Way of Cattaraugus & Allegany County, Inc, to hold a fundraiser on June 6, 2025 at various intersections. Note: An insurance certificate has been provided. A resolution appointing Ryan Dupere, Salamanca, NY as Department of Public Works Full-time Laborer / Class B Driver, according to the current Union Contract, effective March 24, 2025, with one year probation. Sponsor: Council Member Hill 7. A resolution appointing James Green, Salamanca, NY as Part-time Laborer for the Department of Public Works effective March 31, 2025. Sponsor: Council Member Hill 8. Certain appointments by the Mayor and Common Council 9. A resolution to waive the agenda rule to consider other items(s), if necessary. a. A resolution appointing Jay Bartoszek as Provisional City Administrator at an annual wage of $110,000, according to the Non-Union Employee Benefits, effective April 1, 2025.  b. A resolution approving the reappointment of Jessica Thessen, as DPW Part-Time Account Clerk/Typist under Civil Service HELPS, up to 30 hours per week, at a wage of $18.54 per hour effective May 1, 2025. 10. Reminder of other meetings – April 15th Plumbing at 3:00, April 17th Library at 4:00, April 21st Police at 4:30, April 22nd Youth Board at 4:30 and the next Regular Council will be April 23rd at 7:00. 12. A resolution authorizing payment of the bills as warranted and recommended by the appropriate Commissions and/or Department Heads, the City Comptroller and City Clerk and accept reports. 13.
