Board of Trust Fund Commissioners

Meeting date: Thursday, June 10, 2021 Board of Commissioners of Trust Funds Minutes of the June 10, 2021 Meeting Present: William P. Goreham, Sumner Jones and Richard Lobsitz The meeting was called to order at 4:00 P.M. at the office of William P. Goreham, CPA. The Council on Aging did not have any requests for this month. Richard Lobsitz made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 13, 2021 meeting. The motion was seconded by William P. Goreham and voted unanimously. Ana Grateraux, Secretary at Salem High School, supplied the names for the annual awards for the Class of 2021 this included: the Andrews Book Award for the top twelve students ($50 each), the Beston- McDonough Award for the top seven students ($1,000 each), the Class of 41???, two students ($1,000 each) and the Kiwanis Award, two students ($500 each). The Board received an acknowledgement from Norwich University for our donation in memory of Thaddeus Buczko. The Board received a thank you from Lifebridge for our continued support of their food program. Sumner Jones supplied the Board with an additional bank report that sorted the funds by use. The Board members reviewed, commented and ranked the FY22 Large Grant proposals. The Board agreed on the following distribution for FY2022: North Shore Community Action Program $14,000.00 Catholic Charities North $ 7,000.00 Salvation Army $ 6,000.00 St. Vincent De Paul Society $ 5,000.00 Samaritans $ 5,000.00 Lifebridge $ 4,000.00 Salem Pantry $10,000.00 Boys and Girls Club of Greater Salem $10,000.00 Salem YMCA $ 7,000.00 Children???s Friend and Family Society $ 4,000.00 Plummer Youth Promise $ 5,000.00 Minutes of the June 10, 2021 Meeting Page 2 of 2 LEAP $10,000.00 Salem State University Darwin Festival $ 2,500.00 Brookhouse Home for Women $ 6,000.00 Women???s Friend Society $ 3,000.00 Salem Philharmonics (no request at this time) Salem Willows Concerts $ 1,800.00 The Board???s next meeting will be Thursday, July 8, 2021 at 4:00 P.M. at the office of William P.
