Present were: Chairman Bob St. Pierre, member Paul Flores, Clerk of the Board, Melissa Pagliaro and Special Investigator, Sgt. Doyle and City Solicitor, Elizabeth Rennard. Absent was member Deborah Greel. 1. Application for a One Day Liquor License on August 25, 2019 from 1:00-6:00pm for 300 people for the Annual Polish Festival at 28 St. Peter St., Shrine Hall & Gardens. Applicant: St. John Paul Divine Mercy Shrine. Ms. Pagliaro presented the application and said that all of the paperwork is in order and they have called for a detail. She asked that the fee be waived as they are non-profit. Mr. Flores motioned to approve. Mr. St. Pierre seconded. Motion carries. 2. Application for a One Day Liquor License on September 8, 2019 for 2,000 people for the 3rd Annual Salem Road Race to Benefit the Salem YMCA from 10am-2pm at 283 Derby St, the parking lot behind Waters & Brown. Applicant: Edward O’Connor. William Legault presented the application. Mr. Flores motioned to approve. Mr. St. Pierre seconded. Motion carries. 3. Application for a One Day Liquor License on August 29 (rain date Sept. 5, 2019) from 6-9pm at 289 Derby Street (Park) for a Wine Dinner for 100 people. Applicant: City of Salem. Elizabeth Rennard stated that the city is planning a wine and food event at the new park. Food will be provided by a local restaurant and wine/beer served by TIPS certified staff. The city is trying to coordinate this event, but it may need to be rescheduled to a later day. She will come back to the Board on Sept. 9th if that is the case. 4.
