Programs
Matt Pressey, Finance Director; Adele Frese, Chief of Police; Ed Rodriguez, Fire Chief;
Jose Arreola, Community Safety Administrator; Gary Petersen, Public Works Director;
Megan Hunter, Community Development Director; and Cary Ann Siegfried, Library and
Community Services Director, provided the report, which is filed at the City Clerks Office
as the official record.
The Measure V Committee received the Current Department Measure V Funded
Projects and Programs report.
CONSIDERATIONS

Upon motion by Committee member Pandya, second by Committee member
Alisea, the March 31, 2017 Financial Report was approved. The motion carried by
the following vote:

Sivils and Mitchell Huerta
ID#17-234 FY 2017-18 Proposed Measure V Budget
Finance Director Matt Pressey, provided the report, which is filed in the City Clerks Office
as the official record.
Committee member Pierce motioned to recommend, to the City Council and City
Manager, approval of the Measure V Budget as presented by staff with the following
committee comments and recommendations:
1) The Measure V Oversight Committee shared concerns regarding the budget line item
for joint Gang Task Force and recommended funding allocation be better aligned with
actual operation;
2) The Measure V Oversight Committee requested the budget reflect current
expenditures before it goes to Council, to better align funds allocated between Joint Gant
Task Force and Patrols so the budget follows where staff is actually working.
Upon motion by Committee member Pierce second by Committee member Sivils,
the Measure V Oversight Committee approved the FY 2017-18 Proposed Measure
V Budget with the recommendation that the language used in the report be
clear, consistent, and in line with current expenditures. The motion carried by
the following vote:
