ID#17-523 Proposed 2018 Meeting Calendar
Upon motionby Committee member Sanchez, second by Committee member
Pierce, the proposed 2018 Measure E Oversight Committee Meeting Calendar
was approved. The motion carried by the following vote:

Matt Pressey Finance Director provided the report which is filed in the City Clerk's Office
as the official record.
Upon motion by Committee member Pandya, seconded by Committee member
Sivils, the June 30, 2017 Measure E Financila Report was received and accepted.
The motion carried by the following vote:

ID#17-513 September 30, 2017 Measure E Financial Report
Matt Pressey Finance Director provided the report which is filed in the City Clerk's Office
as the official record.
Committee member Sivils requested a report from Community Development Director
Megan Hunter regarding what the City of Salinas is doing collectively for the homeless.
Chair Huerta requested an update on the Sherwood Tennis Center. In response, Mr.
Petersen, stated that bids had been received to make repairs to the courts and the entire
facility is being evaluated.
Committee member Manzo asked if the Parks, Rec, and Libraries Master Plan was the
same as the Library Strategic Plan reference in the “One Time Expenditures?” Eric
Howard, Deputy Librarian stated that the Library Strategic Plan is different than the
Parks, Rec, & Libraries Master Plan in that it is specific to libraries.
Committee member Pandya asked for clarification on "Personnel & Training.” Cynthia
Burnham, Police Services Administrator, responded that a Community Service Officer
and a Sergeant are funded out of that program.

FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS
Committee member Pandya requested the next budget cycle contain a long term
solution on the homeless issue.
