Wardwell and Rolando Cabrera Absent: 1- Juan Mendoza-Romero City of Salinas Page 1 Measure G Oversight Committee Meeting Minutes - Final May 24, 2018 ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS ID#18-266 March 31, 2018 Financial Report Finance Director Matt Pressey, provided the report which is file in the City Clerk's Office as the official record. Receive the Measure G March 31, 2018 Financial Report. CONSIDERATIONS ID#18-265 Review of Independent Audit Report Finance Director Matt Pressey, provided the report which is filed in the City Clerk's Office as the official record. Review of Independent Audit Report Committee member McMillin reported that the subcommittee found the audit to be a clean audit. All of the Measure G funds are fairly stated, are being spent appropriately and within the intent of what the voters approved in Measure G, and the City is acting responsibly in these tremendously difficult financial times. Committee member Espindola reported that the residents that he had talked to, were very pleased with what the Committee was doing and how they were spending Measure G funds. The only concern that came up was the frozen positions and the services that might be cut but that was addressed by the City Manager. What the city is doing with Measure G funds is very appropriate and is in line with what the Measure requested. Committee member Wardwell reported that the city is on point with what they are doing and is responsible. Looking through the information the Finance Department provides, is very thorough and encompassing, giving us a good idea about what they are doing and being responsible. Upon motion by Committee member McMillin, second by Committee member Espindola, the Measure G Oversight Committee received and accepted the Review of the Independent Audit Report from the Measure G Subcommittee and approved to the report be sent to the City Council. The motion carried by the following vote: Ayes: 7- Al Espindola, Al Espindola, Cesar Lara, Maureen Wruck, Kelly McMillin, Jeffrey D. Wardwell and Rolando Cabrera Absent: 1- Juan Mendoza-Romero ID#18-267 FY 2018-19 Operating and Capital Improvement Budget Finance Director Matt Pressey, provided the report which is file in the City Clerk's Office as the official record. Public Works Director Don Reynolds, provided a brief overview of the Police Services Headquarters building project. Upon motion by Committee member Espindola, seconded by Committee member Wruck, the Measure G Oversight Committee provided comments to the City Council on the Measure G expenditures proposed in the FY 2018-19 Operating and Capital Improvement Budget.
