CALL TO ORDER The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm. 2. ROLL CALL City Councilmembers Alvarez, Hamilton, Salazar, Vice Mayor M. Medina and Mayor R. Medina were all present. Planning Commissioners Johnson, Lethin, Vice Chair Kuhn and Chair Harman were all present. Commissioners Biasotti and Madden were on excused absences, Commissioner Durazo was absent. 3. STUDY SESSION a. Study Session for the Tanforan Redevelopment Project Mayor Rico E. Medina recused himself from this item due to the proximity of his home from the subject location(s) causing a conflict of interest. Community Development Director Peter Gilli, Christian Gunter of Alexandria; Katie Hofstetter of Strada Investment Group; Manan Shah of Gensler Architects; and lan Murphy of BDE Architects presented the item and answered questions. Receive the 2024 Housing Element Annual Update and Authorize Transmittal of the 2024 Housing Element Annual Progress Report to the State of California City Council & Planning Commission - Minutes March 18, 2025 Page 2 of 2 r-i Community Development Director Peter Gilli presented the item and answered questions. The following member of the public provided comment(s): * Matt Jones Assistant Community Development Director Kelly Beggs answered questions. M/S Auros / Kuhn that the Planning Commission receive the Housing Element Annual Progress Report for 2024 and recommend that City Council authorize transmittal of the Housing Element to the State of California. Motion passed with Commissioners Johnson, Lethin, Vice Chair Kuhn and Chair Harman voting yes and Commissioners Biasotti, Durazo, and Madden absent. M/S R. Medina / M. Medina to receive the housing element annual progress report for 2024 and authorize transmittal to the state of California. Motion passed unanimously. 5. ANNOUNCEMENTS/PRESENT ATIONS Receive Presentation on Status of Long-Range Planning Initiatives Community Development Director Peter Gilli presented the item and answered questions.
