San Marcos Neighborhood Commission Meeting Conference Room, City Hall, 630 E Hopkins November 18, 2015 Agenda # Action or Direction 1. Meeting called to Order Meeting called to order at 6:14 p.m., by Robert Mooney, Board Member. 2. Roll Call Members Present: Robert Mooney, David Peterson, Blanca Loya, Kenneth Dees, Allie Hackley, Tome Rowe and Lisa Marie Coppoletta Members Absent: Elena Duran, Raul Rodriguez, Terence Parker and Adam De Leon 3. Approval of Minutes Minutes approved by Kenneth Dees Dated October 21, 2015 seconded by David Peterson, all in favor. 4. Citizen Comment Period – (each individual None will be limited to 3 minutes; no specific action may be taken on these items.) 5. Update on flood situation in San Marcos Ken Bell updated Board Members on the and the Blanco Gardens Neighborhood San Marcos flood and the Blanco Gardens Neighborhood. The following topics are moving forward.  Debris Management  Parks on going  Public Damage Assessments (PDA’s) will be evaluated  Public right of ways will be next A. Status of Local Disaster Declaration is still unknown B. Grant applications will not be available till December 15th. C. A neighborhood meeting will take place Saturday morning, November 21st. Unknown on location. D. Blanco Garden Neighborhood Representative - Blanca Loya stated neighborhood is concerned about the water drainage and an Emergency Plan at The Woods Apartments. 1 San Marcos Neighborhood Commission Meeting Conference Room, City Hall, 630 E Hopkins November 18, 2015 6. Discuss and vote to reschedule workshop A motion made by Kenneth Dees to for Sunset Acres and Mockingbird reschedule workshop to Wednesday, neighborhood. January 13th 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Goodnight Middle School, seconded by David Peterson. All in favor. 7. Discuss and vote on meeting for December A motion made by David Peterson to schedule December’s meeting on Wednesday the 16th, 2015 at 6:15 p.m. at Saltgrass, seconded by Kenneth Dees. All in favor. 8. Commissioner’s and Staff Report - Lisa Marie Coppoletta suggested proposing to add a Tenants Council on next month agenda. Tome Rowe stated he was in agreement adding a Tenants Council discussion to January 20th agenda. 9. Questions for the Press and Public. None 10. Adjournment A motion to adjourn meeting at 7:00 p.m. made by Lisa Coppoletta, seconded by David Peterson. The motion passed unanimously. 2
