Agenda item # C3 CITY OF SAND SPRINGS COUNCIUAUTHORITY STAFF REPORT Sand Springs OKLAHOMA MEETING DATE: April 14, 2021 SUBJECT: Addendums to the Cleaning Services Agreement with Multi Clean STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Approval of the addendums to the Cleaning Services Agreement with Multi Clean for janitorial services for City of Sand Springs Municipal building and Spring Lake Municipal Complex - Administration building, reflecting services for five (5) days per week for each building, for an additional monthly rate of $2,500. BACKGROUND AND HISTORY: Due to the recent resignation of the city's custodian and the need for janitorial services to continue during the interim, staff reviewed and considered other options for janitorial services, including the current outside contractor for the Billie A. Hall Public Safety Center. The City of Sand Springs entered into a Cleaning Services Agreement with Multi Clean on June 13, 2019, for janitorial services for the Police and Municipal Court area of the Billie A. Hall Public Safety Center, for a monthly rate of $1,690 per month. On July 27, 2020, the above referenced contract was amended to include Fire offices and common areas at the Billie A. Hall Public Safety Center, for a total monthly rate of $1,850 per month. This would also allow staff time to review the cost and related benefit costs of an employee versus the cost of outsourcing the service for FY2022. BUGETARY IMPACT: Estimated $7,000 for the period of April 15, 2021, to June 30, 2021, utilizing the former custodian salary funds. COMPILED AND PRESENTED BY: Michael S.
