ANIMAL CONTROL ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA
July 12 , 2021 at 6:30 p.m.
Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Sandy Oaks Animal Control Advisory Committee
will be held, Monday, July 12 , 2021 at 6:30 p.m. by telephonic video conferencing, which will be
live streamed and accessible to the public as provided below for the purpose of considering the
following agenda items. All agenda items are subject to action. In an effort to advance the public
health goal of limiting face-to-face meetings (also called "social distancing") to slow the spread of
the Coronavirus (COVID-19), there will be no in-person public access to the meeting.

The public will be permitted to offer public comments telephonically or by audio as provided by
the agenda and as permitted by the presiding officer during the meeting. Written comments may
be submitted to the Committee Chair up two hours before the meeting by emailing
jpuente@cityofsandyoaks.com and will be provided to the committee for their consideration.

. This item allows the public to address the Animal
Control Advisory Committee on issues affecting the community and the City. This item
will be open for up to 30 minutes with 3 minutes to each speaker. If there are more than 10
speakers, each will be given 2 minutes.
3. Discuss and/ or possible action update on animals currently in shelter, Oak Hills, being
fostered or needing foster/adoption/rescue or scheduled for placement.
4. Discuss and/ or possible action conducting an animal census to determine the average
number of dogs/cats per house hold in Sandy Oaks.
5. Discuss and/or possible action on United States Humane Society’s recommended plan for
ACF. (pages 38-43)
6. Discuss and/ or possible action Microchipping: What is the process for microchipping an
animal? Who does the actual chip insert to the animal? What kind of extra help is needed?
(data entry) Is it possible/necessary to add more days other than once a month?
7. Discuss and/ or possible action on volunteers, where to advertise, what type of help is
needed immediately?
