He asked to be excused to attend another function. James Sorensen reported on a proposed rezoning on 106th South 700 East for proposed town homes. Evelyn Everton reported on the Interim Day at the Legislature and the upcoming items for discussion. Chief Cline reported on an accident that happened to Sandy Firefighter Eric Larsen last week in Wyoming while he was on vacation. Consent Calendar 1. 18-290 Approval of the July 31, 2018 minutes. Attachments: July 31, 2018 Minutes Kris Coleman Nicholl made the motion seconded by Linda Martinez Saville to approve the July 31, 2018 City Council meeting minutes....the motion carried by a unanimous all in favor voice vote. Council Workshop 2. 18-296 Property tax presentation from Kerri Nakamura. Attachments: Property Tax 101 and Budgeting 101 Sandy City 08142018.pptx Sandy Historical Revenue and Expenses (1) (1) (1) (1).xlsx Mike Applegarth noted that audio and video were taking place this evening. He asked everyone to please use the microphones. He expressed appreciation to Cameron Diel from the Utah League for covering expenses for the presentation this evening. Mike Applegarth introduced Kerri Nakamura who presented the Utah League of Cities and Towns " Know Your Budget " presentation. Kerri Nakamura began the presentation. 3. 18-297 City Facilities Master Plan Update Attachments: CAPITAL FACILITIES MASTER PLAN FINAL City Facilitiies Master Plan Draft Report Shane Pace presented the Facilities Master Plan Update. Shane Pace presented an update on the Codification process and changes for the Council to discuss. Citizen Comments Jim Edwards spoke regarding property taxes and eliminating the Alta Canyon taxing district. There were no further comments. Maren Barker made a motion seconded by Brook Christensen to allow Citizen Comments....the motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote. Adjournment The meeting adjourned at approximately 7:50 p.m. by Kris Coleman Nicholl seconded by Linda Martinez Saville.
